See Map on this link to find your Circuit

http://www.uscourts.gov/links.html

USING THIS GUIDE

When citing FDCPA/FCRA cases, this is the order of precedence (check your local rules for variations):

1) US Supreme Court --- There is only one FDCPA supreme court ruling and it does not apply to continued collection activity.

2) The federal court of appeals for your circuit. Click on the link above to determine which of the 12 circuits you live in (DC has their own). Currently, only the 7th Circuit has an appellate case for continued collection activity.

3) Your federal district court

4) Other federal district courts in your state

5) Your state supreme court (none have rulings for continued collection activity and I know of none that have FDCPA/FCRA rulings.

6) Other federal district courts in your circuit

6) Other appellate circuits

7) Other federal district courts outside of your circuit.
